The Yak 50 is the prettiest aircraft in the Yak family and given there are only a few left in the world, it is a treat to see them fly. As well as having great looks, they have superb flying qualities that can compete with the more modern aerobatic aircraft on the circuit today, but with the addition of all the charm and charisma of war-bird aircraft. The strong airframe together with its agile handling characteristics mean the Yak 50 can perform world class aerobatic maneuvers. In fact, the Yak 50 was designed to be flown very hard (+9/-7 G) and has twice been a World Aerobatic Champion. The Yak 50’s look particularly beautiful when flown in formation. The smoke trailing the aircraft emphasizes the maneuvers and gives a daring unforgettable display that both surprises and delights the audience.
